A contemporary family home designed around warmth, material continuity and connection to landscape.
Designed for repeat clients, The Treehouse builds on an established design relationship and a clear understanding of how they live, entertain and move through a home.
Developed by Nicola Ross Design as a full interior and spatial design project, the home explores how timber, light, proportion and carefully resolved detailing can create spaces that feel calm, immersive and deeply connected to daily life.
Scope
Spatial planning / Interior architecture / Bespoke joinery / Timber detailing / Material specification / Window treatments / Construction detailing
Timber lining in progress — wrapping the window reveal and beginning to define the warmth, light and detail of the home.
From design intent to site reality — the powder room taking shape, with timber, red glazed tile and a freestanding basin composed as one resolved moment.
The Treehouse palette — timber, stone, linen, wool, metal and glazed tile layered into a warm, grounded interior with a soft mid-century Japanese sensibility.
