What I do
I work with people who are building, renovating, or rethinking homes that matter deeply to them, clients who want the design considered properly from the beginning, not layered on at the end.
My role often starts before finishes and furniture are even discussed. I work across spatial planning, architectural review, interior architecture and custom joinery, resolving how a home functions, flows and feels before carrying that thinking through the rest of the interior.
I’m often brought into a project and asked, “Why didn’t anyone pick this up earlier?” My role is to look beyond the structure itself, at how the house will actually be lived in, how spaces connect, where circulation or functionality can be improved, and which decisions will be difficult or expensive to change later.
For many of my clients, just as important is being able to hand over the weight of the process. They bring the brief, the priorities and the final decisions; I do the thinking, coordination and design work in between. It means they can stay focused on the work and life they already do well, rather than spending their time researching, sourcing and managing every design decision themselves.
Because of my background in manufacturing joinery and construction-based detailing, I approach projects with both creativity and buildability in mind. The aim is not simply to make a home look good, but to make it feel resolved, personal and genuinely good to live in for the long term.
Every project is different, but the principle is the same: the strongest homes are considered as a whole, and the thinking established at the beginning is carried all the way through.
